Job summary

ST Engineering seeks a Project Technical Manager (System Focus) to lead complex government security projects, alternating between STE offices and project sites. You will oversee technical aspects, subcontractors, and knowledge transfer to site engineers.

Responsibilities include system setup, database configuration, network design, and IT infrastructure support across Windows and Linux, ensuring contracts are fulfilled on time and within scope. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of system-related experience.
• Experience in Project Management or IT deployment.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support fulfilment of contract obligations within timelines, cost, and scope.
• Manage project documentation and subcontractor matters.
• Perform system setup and database configuration; resolve technical/design issues.
• Provide IT infrastructure support (Windows and Linux).
• Know-how of network switches and design of network devices.
• Install, debug, and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
• Provide hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer to site engineers.
• Oversee project teams and subcontractors.
• Host, manage, and present project meetings.

Job Description

• Work closely with the Project Manager and Engineers to support the fulfilment of contract obligations within agreed timelines, cost, and scope.
• Manage and oversee project documentation and subcontractor-related matters.
• Perform system setup and database configuration, resolve technical and design issues.
• Provide support for IT infrastructure, including Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Possess knowledge of network switches and the design of network devices within the project scope.
• Carry out installation, debugging, and troubleshooting of IT-related issues.
• Be hands-on in providing guidance and conducting knowledge transfer to site engineers.
• Oversee project teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Host, manage, and present project meetings.
• Report project progress to the Project Manager and follow up on software development and site installation works.

Job Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with good organisational and coordination abilities.
• Experience in Project Management, IT Management Systems deployment, or equivalent.
• Proficient in networking, SQL, and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge in the following areas:
• A. Cybersecurity
• B. SQL Management Studio applications and database table management
• C. Vulnerability assessment
• D. Software development concepts
• E. Setup and installation of access control systems (e.g. key management systems, CCTV, card readers, gantries)
• F. Project requirements and procedures
• Able to work independently and function well as a team player.
• Minimum of 7 years of system-related experience.
• Willing to travel between office and project sites.
