Job summary

u square engineering & services pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Site Lead for Electrical Projects to manage installation, testing, and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and associated electrical systems on live projects.

You will supervise site teams, coordinate with clients and contractors, ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and QA/QC procedures, and drive safe, on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading electrical site execution on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS and related systems.
• Skilled in coordinating multiple contractors and ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.
• Experience with QA/QC, risk assessments and method statements for electrical works.

Job description

• Lead and manage site execution activities for electrical engineering projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning works for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, DCIS/HMI, and associated electrical systems.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities including cable tray installation, cable pulling, panel installation, cable termination, testing, and commissioning works.
• Manage site teams comprising supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and technical personnel to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, risk assessments, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage electrical interfaces with operational teams, conduct site meetings, and provide technical clarification on project requirements.
• Review inspection and testing plans, method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning procedures to ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.
• Perform site inspections and monitor QA/QC activities to ensure compliance with design documents, BCA requirements, and applicable standards.
• Investigate electrical system faults, equipment failures, and site issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support testing and commissioning activities to ensure electrical systems are ready for operation and handover.
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, manpower, and subcontractor activities to achieve timely completion within budget and required quality standards.
• Prepare and review project documentation including progress reports, inspection reports, test records, certificates, and handover documents.
• Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and key information to senior management.
• Liaise with project teams, site personnel, subcontractors, and management at all levels to resolve technical and operational matters.
• Monitor site activities and coordinate between office and project teams to ensure effective project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and promote safe work practices at site.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager / Management team.
