Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to support a leading global investment bank.

You will drive end-to-end IT projects in the banking and financial services space, coordinating cross-functional technology teams and stakeholders to meet scope, timeline, budget and quality targets. Responsibilities include project planning, governance, risk and issue management, testing, migration, deployment readiness, and effective change communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years IT Project Management experience in banking/financial services.
• Experience managing Technology Risk or Payments domain projects within a bank.
• Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies, SDLC and delivery lifecycle.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects within the banking and financial services environment, covering technology risk projects in the payments domain.
• Manage project planning, scope, timelines, milestones, resources, dependencies, risks and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, risk and control functions, operations, vendors and other project stakeholders to define requirements and project deliverables.
• Drive project governance activities, including project status reporting, steering committee updates, issue escalation and stakeholder communication.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies and constraints to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project activities, testing, implementation and deployment are completed according to the agreed project plan.
• Manage project documentation, including project plans, requirements, risk/issue logs, meeting minutes, status reports and implementation plans.
• Ensure appropriate testing, migration, implementation and production readiness activities are completed before project deployment.
• Support change management and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant banking technology, risk, security, governance and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of IT Project Management experience, within a banking / financial services environment.
• Proven experience managing projects in either Technology Risk or Payments domain within a bank:
• Either: Technology Risk / IT Risk projects, including risk remediation, technology controls, regulatory or governance initiatives.
• Or: Payments application projects, including payment system implementation, migration, transformation, integration or enhancement.
• Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, SDLC and technology delivery lifecycle.
• Experienced in managing multiple technology teams and stakeholders across business, application, infrastructure, operations, risk and control functions.
• Strong experience in project planning, stakeholder management, risk management and project governance.
• Good understanding of banking technology and application environments.
