Job summary

TotalEnergies Marketing Asia-Pacific Middle East is seeking a project manager with at least 3 years of experience in a commercial/industrial setting, including rooftop solar, for the Singapore base. You will support project development, cost estimation, and coordination with clients and contractors while upholding HSE and regulatory standards.

Based in Singapore, you will liaise with sales, engineering and regulatory bodies to ensure timely project execution within budget.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
• Minimum 2 years experience with rooftop solar projects.
• Degree in Engineering; graduate qualifications are a plus.
• Experience with maintaining functional specifications, commissioning checklists, and SOPs for rooftop solar projects.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team in project development and implementation of the Distributed Generation APAC business model, in accordance with the JV model and ensure compliance with TRDG HSE and compliance standards.
• Estimate project costs and identify obstacles and challenges.
• Conduct site assessments, evaluate feasibility and risks, contributing to PV system design in line with local regulations and TotalEnergies specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams, regulators, and third parties to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with engineering resources to optimize commercial offers, select and onboard contractors and suppliers, and support commercial negotiations.
• Document activities, maintain CRM entries (Salesforce) and plan/report to achieve KPIs.
• Coordinate between sales, engineering and client to prepare the project for execution.
• Prepare tender, evaluate proposals, handle contractual negotiations and contractor completion.
• Review method statements and ensure compliance with TotalEnergies rules and standards.

Activities

Project Development and Management

• To support the sales team in the project development and implementation of the Distributed Generation APAC business model, in accordance with the JV model and ensure that all activities are compliant with TRDG HSE and compliance standards.
• Estimate project costs and identify project obstacles and challenges
• Conduct Site assessments and complete accurate site assessment reports, assess technical constraints, evaluate project feasibility and potential risks, contributing to the PV System design in alignment with local regulations, TTE Technical specifications while always holding strong the TotalEnergies HSE mindset.
• Conduct meetings with clients and contractors to clarify and discuss technical matters.
• Coordinate with internal teams, local regulatory bodies, and other third-parties to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with engineering resources to optimize the commercial offers in terms of PV system performance, technical solution costs, robustness and quality.
• Select and on-board contractors and suppliers including EPCs and engineering consultants, in full respect of HSE, Quality and compliance guidelines and specifications.
• Support commercial negotiations and maintain relationships with installers and suppliers.
• Coordinate with teams to effectively implement customer objectives and project plans.
• Document activities and communication, maintain entries in CRM (Salesforce) and other internal platforms. Plan, Report and achieving the set KPIs.

Project and Contractor Management

• Coordinate between sales, engineering and client to prepare the project for execution
• Prepare tender, evaluate proposals, present to team management for selection, handle contractual negotiations and completion with contractors
• Review method statement of execution from contractors and check compliance with Totalenergies rules and standards
• Prepare and follow-up local approvals and regulatory obligations
• Review all submitted documents from contractors as per Master Document List
• Site inspection, safety on site and quality assessment, budget control and schedule control
• Review on compliance of contractors on HSE and TOTALENERGIES values and rules
• Handle handover to operation team and client satisfaction

The position will be based in Singapore and the scope of activities will extend to other areas of Singapore/Malaysia as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in a commercial/industrial environment with at least 2 years experience with rooftop solar projects.
• Working experience in Singapore electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes.
• Degree in Engineering, Graduate degree and related professional qualifications considered a plus.
• Experience with maintaining minimum functional specification, commissioning checklists, and standard operating practices for rooftop solar projects.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.
• Experience in renewable energy; in particular solar and energy industry is an advantage.
• Proven track record in building, negotiating, and executing contracts.
• Proven ability to work independently and effectively
