Job summary

Sam Lain Equipment Services Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering and infrastructure projects in Singapore. You will oversee the full lifecycle from planning to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and strict safety compliance.

The role requires coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, supervising site operations, reviewing contracts, and maintaining quality documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• PE Board approval preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• 8–10 years of relevant civil/infrastructure experience
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering and infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project work schedules, method statements, and resource planning.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures where required.
• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Supervise site operations and coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Oversee construction activities including structural, drainage, sewerage, utility, and related works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Review contracts, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, and variation claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify work progress payments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities on contractual matters.
• Attend site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and project records.
• Ensure all works comply with local regulatory authorities and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Preferably approved by PE Board
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil/infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, sewerage, drainage, or utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and authority submission processes.
• Experience in managing project teams and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight project timelines.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in airport, sewerage, tunneling, or large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with PUB, LTA, BCA, and other authority requirements.
• Strong cost control and contract administration experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects with high safety and quality standards.
