Job summary

CONSTRUCT PEOPLE PTE LTD is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects in Singapore, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and adherence to design specifications.

You will lead end-to-end planning, coordinate site operations, and manage stakeholders and subcontractors while upholding safety and quality standards across the project.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, scheduling, and execution from award to TOP.
• Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
• Review and approve work plans, technical drawings, and method statements.
• Coordinate with consultants and engineers for design reviews and technical clarifications.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to management/client.

Job description

Our Client is looking for a Project Manager

Responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to design specifications. Emphasizes leadership in technical problem - solving, staff development, and seamless coordination with site operations.

1. Plan, prioritize and manage assigned projects, involved in the areas of pre - planning, budgeting, resources allocation, contract negotiation, drawings submission, progress claim, and worker coordination, to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and project deadlines are met.

2. Supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, client & consultant, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.

3. Minimize the costs of project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality projects.

4. Ensuring the timely, budget control, and cost - effective completion of construction projects.

5. Support tender & technical advisory for project tendering, write up, planning and presentation.

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end - to - end project planning, scheduling, and execution from award to TOP. Develop & manage project master schedule, milestones, and phasing.
• Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Review and approve work plans, technical drawings, and method statements.

Technical Support & Problem Solving

• Identify and propose technical solutions to overcome project challenges.
• Lead value engineering efforts and assess alternative construction methodologies.
• Coordinate with consultants and engineers for design reviews and technical clarifications.
• Ensure statutory submissions, inspections, and approvals are timely.
• Manage TOP documentation and coordination.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as key point of contact for client, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage client expectations, resolve project issues proactively.
• Work closely with Managers, Site team , and Supervisors for daily progress updates and issue resolution.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to management/client.

Team Leadership & Resources Management

• Lead & Coach site team (Engineers, Supervisors, and Coordinators) to build a high - performing team.
• Plan manpower deployment & productivity.
• Provide continuous technical and operational guidance to site team members , coach & develop site staff conduct performance review
• Foster teamwork, accountability and site discipline.

Quality Management , Safety , Health & Environmental

• Ensure compliance with approved drawing, specifications, and QA/QS plans.
• Oversee inspections, testing, mock - ups, and rectification works.
• Enforce quality assurance protocols and ensure site activities comply with safety standards.
• Work closely with safety managers / WSHO to achieve zero incidents, implementation of risk assessment, safe work procedures.

Ad - hoc Assignments

• Undertake any special assignments or ad - hoc projects assigned by the Director s.
• Support in pre - tender activities, feasibility studies, or digital technology initiatives as required.
