Job summary

SCIENTE seeks a dynamic Project Manager (Techno-functional) with deep Finance ERP and FP&A experience to drive transformation programs for financial planning, forecasting, and performance management within a bank. You will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with IT, Risk, and Finance to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires hands-on SDLC/Agile delivery, strong communication, and a track record in large-scale Finance ERP/EPM projects across SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IS, or related field.
• 15+ years’ experience leading cross-functional teams and complex Finance ERP/Finance Transformation programmes.
• hands-on SDLC & Agile experience.
• Experience delivering end-to-end Finance ERP/EPM implementations.
• Strong knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting.
• Experience with vendor evaluation and RFP/RFI processes.
• Banking/Financial Services experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Financial application projects (system implementation, automation, and process improvement).
• Define scope, milestones, budgets, and deliverables aligned with finance/regulatory requirements.
• Manage cross-functional teams across Finance, Risk, IT and Data.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Ensure governance and regulatory standards compliance.
• Design and optimize budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting frameworks.
• Drive FP&A standardization across units/regions.
• Ensure data accuracy in financial and management reporting.
• Translate finance needs into technical solutions with IT.
• Lead system testing, data migration and post-go-live stabilization.
• Collaborate with BI/Analytics for dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik).
• Communicate project status to executives and steering committees.
• Manage external vendors/consultants and SLAs.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager (Techno-functional) with strong expertise in Financial application, planning, budgeting and reporting systems. This role is responsible for driving Finance transformation projects — integrating finance processes, analytics, and technology platforms to enhance financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across the bank.

The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background combined with hands-on experience in financial systems implementation, ideally within a banking or financial services environment.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field;
• 15+ years’ experience leading cross-functional teams and complex Finance ERP / Finance Transformation programmes, with hands-on experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies;
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end Finance ERP and EPM implementations, including SAP ERP, Enterprise Budgeting, Financial Consolidation, Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Hyperion, Workday Adaptive Planning, or OneStream;
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday Financials, or equivalent Finance ERP platforms;
• Hands-on experience managing RFP/RFI processes, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, solution assessment, and selection;
• Strong understanding of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, and core Finance processes;
• Proven experience leading large-scale Finance Transformation and complex technology programmes;
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management skills, including programme governance;
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills;
• Banking / Financial Services experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead system testing (UAT, SIT), data migration, and post-go-live stabilization;
• Work with BI/Analytics teams to develop dashboards and self-service analytics using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik;
• Collaborate with senior management, finance business partners, and IT stakeholders;
• Manage external vendors, consultants, and technology partners to ensure quality delivery and adherence to SLAs;
• Communicate project status, risks, and benefits to senior executives and steering committees.
