Job summary

HDR CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to lead Building Engineering Services (BES) data centre projects. You will manage from initiation to closeout, coordinate with clients, define resources, budgets, and schedules, and ensure governance and data integrity.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years' relevant experience; LEED AP, PMP or CCM are preferred. Singaporean or PR applicants only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• LEED AP, PMP and/or CCM designation preferred.
• MEP experience in Data centre preferred.
• Singaporean or PR only (no pass quota).

Responsibilities

• Manage all areas of project management for singular Data centre projects: planning, design, construction, closeout.
• Work with clients to prepare scope, budget, work plan, milestones, quality, and risk.
• Define delivery resources; run RFPs, bid evaluations, and resource recommendations.
• Implement project documentation governance aligned with requirements.
• Ensure project data integrity, timely and coordinated documentation.
• Lead the project delivery team and provide guidance to achieve goals.
• Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule; track progress and report variances.
• Identify threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines; model HDR values.

Job description

HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Singapore. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing project management services to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. You are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

In this role we will count on you to:

• Manage all areas of project management for singular Data centre projects. This includes planning, design management, construction management, and closeout.
• Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
• Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations,and recommend resources to clients.
• Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
• Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
• Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals.
• Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
• Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques / procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with HDR values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other relatedteams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.

Qualifications& Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
• Experience of MEP in Data centre preferred.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project, etc.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Singaporean or PR only (no pass quota)
