Job summary

P T WORKS & ENGINEERING SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with proven Singapore construction industry experience. The role focuses on project execution, commercial management, and cost control to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will manage projects from start to finish, monitor schedules and costs, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while safeguarding profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Singapore construction, including project management.
• Experience in project costing, budgeting, cost forecasting, contract administration, variation claims, and subcontract management.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from commencement to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and required quality standards.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, resources, procurement, and construction activities.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, cost-to-complete forecasts, and overall profitability.
• Manage contracts, variation orders, progress claims, extension-of-time claims, and final accounts.
• Identify project delays, cost overruns, and commercial risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement recovery plans for delayed or loss-making projects.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and control project expenditure.
• Conduct regular project progress and commercial reviews and report performance to management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Singapore construction regulations, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Ensure proper project close-out and final handover.

• Must have started their career as a Quantity Surveyor and subsequently progressed into project management.
• Proven experience in project costing, budgeting, cost forecasting, contract administration, variation claims, and subcontract management.
• Experience in managing project delays, cost overruns, and recovery plans.
