Job summary

Opensource Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer (Network infra and Firewall) to lead deployment, configuration, integration, and optimization of complex enterprise network and security solutions. You will provide architectural guidance, collaborate with project managers, and ensure delivery meets scope, timelines, and quality standards while maintaining documentation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with network devices: switches, routers, firewall, UPS, etc.
• Experience liaising with users and vendors to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Experience in network security solution design, planning, risk assessment, implementation and validation.
• Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or firewall technologies preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; proactive and independent team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, integration, and optimization of complex enterprise network and security solutions.
• Act as technical lead for mid to large scale projects across multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure scope, timelines, quality, and requirements.
• Provide advanced support for network security platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, etc.).
• Drive root cause analysis, incident resolution, and escalation for network security issues.
• Prepare and maintain high-level and low-level designs, baselines, and installation guides.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and post-incident reviews to uplift team capability.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance requirements; provide project status inputs.

Job description

Job Role:

• Lead and oversee the deployment, configuration, integration, and optimization of complex enterprise network and security solutions.
• Serve as the technical lead for mid to largescale projects, providing architectural guidance, technical direction, and oversight across multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure project scope, timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements are consistently met.
• Implement and provide advanced support for network security infrastructure solutions on platforms such as Cisco, Alcatel, Solarwinds, Cisco ISE, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Checkpoint and Fortinet
• Drive complex rootcause analysis efforts, lead incident resolution, and act as technical escalation for network performance, security events, and critical connectivity issues.
• Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including highlevel designs (HLDs), lowlevel designs (LLDs), configuration baselines, acceptance test procedures, installation guides, and operational procedures.
• Conduct knowledgesharing sessions, internal training, and postincident reviews to uplift team capability and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide quality oversight for processes and project deliverables and ensure compliance to prevailing security and governance requirements.
• Provide relevant inputs for project reporting and status update.
• Support the smooth transition of the implemented infrastructure from project implementation phase to operation & maintenance phase.

Job requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or other related disciplines.
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in network security infrastructure project delivery with hands‑on experience and knowledge on configuring and troubleshooting for IT network devices such as switches, routers, firewall, UPS, etc.
• Have experience in liaising with the user and managing vendor to define business requirements and deliver technical solution.
• Skilled in network security solution design, planning, risk assessment, implementation and validation.
• Technical certification in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) or above firewall products is preferred.
• Possess strong communication skills and analytical capability to resolve technical issues.
• A resourceful, proactive and independent team player.
