Job summary

VIKCONNECT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer/Manager to support migration of on-premises systems to enterprise cloud platforms.

You will plan, coordinate and execute migration workstreams with vendors, infrastructure teams and stakeholders, ensuring schedules, budgets and governance requirements are met. You will manage risks, track progress, provide status reports and assist with security and compliance during the move, including night-shift support when required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in ICT systems or project management.
• Knowledge of system integration, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with government procurement is a plus.

Job Overview

The Project Engineer/Manager is responsible for supporting incumbent project management teams in the planning, coordination and execution of system migration activities from on-premises hosting environments to enterprise cloud platforms. The role supports the delivery of migration workstreams within approved schedules, budgets and compliance requirements, while working closely with system vendors, infrastructure teams, cloud service providers and business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include migration planning and tracking, vendor coordination, risk and issue management, testing and deployment support, cybersecurity and governance compliance, and ensuring successful transition of systems into the target cloud environment. The role also provides project management support to facilitate smooth migration execution and operational handover activities

Key Responsibilities

Migration Planning & Coordination

• Develop with vendor and maintain migration plans and schedules
• Coordinate milestones across system owners, vendors, cloud platform teams and cybersecurity teams
• Track dependencies, risks and issues
• Ensure migration activities align with approved project timelines
• Monitor readiness for each migration activity
• Prepare project documentation and reports
• Identify and mitigate risks; elevate issues when necessary
• Attend Cloud platform briefing and provide systems update when required
• Coordinate vendor standby during key migration testing and activities involving the system

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Review vendor migration proposals and plans
• Track vendor deliverables and milestones
• Coordinate resource requirements and environments
• Escalate delays or technical issues
• Verify vendors are fulfilling contractual obligations
• Manage change requests and scope adjustments
• Engage stakeholders across departments and agencies
• Site Support and Escort
• Conduct project meetings
• Provide status updates
• Prepare management reports
• Escalate risks and decisions requiring management intervention

Technical & System Implementation

• Migration approach review
• Infrastructure readiness validation
• Network connectivity coordination
• Identity and access management requirements.

• Ensure compliance with policies and cybersecurity standards
• Coordinate security reviews
• Track System Security Plans and cybersecurity deliverables
• Submission of Waivers / Risk Acceptance
• Ensure onboarding to required enterprise services (e.g. SOC monitoring, EDR, VMS)
• Verify cloud security controls are implemented before go-live
• Maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Support ICT security implementation

Qualifications
