Job summary

Wee Hur Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Site Engineer to support construction sites, reporting to the Manager or team leader and ensuring responsibilities are carried out per the organization chart.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with at least five years of site experience, including coordination for ERSS, precast, and structural teams on commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Five years' site works experience with main contractors' technical coordination (ERSS, precast, structural, facilities planning).
• Experience on commercial projects is required.
• Ability to understand ISO requirements, technical drawings, and contractual agreements.

Responsibilities

• Report to Manager or team leader as per organization chart and manage related project tasks.
• Study ISO requirements, drawings, scope, and sub-contracts; coordinate with consultants to resolve issues.
• Submit programmes to superiors for feedback and execute according to detailed programme.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, QC/EHS procedures, and maintain good housekeeping.
• Implement quality recordings, analyse results, and plan continuous improvement actions.
• Maintain proper recordings to comply with EHS, quality, client and authorities' requirements.
• Manage costs to minimize wastage and avoid rework; address ad-hoc matters as directed by PM.

• The detailed duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:-
• Study and fully understand the ISO requirements, technical drawings, scope, contractual requirements and sub-contract agreements. Work with the consultants to resolve technical issues prior to construction.
• Submit to superior for feedback and concurrence on short or medium-term programmes and execute the works according to the detailed programme.
• Ensure that the works are carried out according to the approved drawings, quality procedures and EHS requirements. Managing the works with excellent housekeeping is a key focus.
• For quality management, the engineer is responsible to fully implement with the quality recordings, carry out result analysis and formulate action plans for continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain proper recordings to comply with EHS, quality, client and authorities' requirements.
• Responsible for cost management so that the materials used for both temporary works and permanent works are not damaged or control the wastage within specified tolerance. Rework or abortive work which has serious time and cost impacts shall be avoided.
• Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the PM which is necessary for the execution of the project.
