Job summary

Kok Tong Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an on-site Electrical Engineer to plan and monitor M&E work schedules, prepare progress reports, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on Civil Engineering projects. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and a PEBoard-recognised degree.

You will inspect works, coordinate with clients and consultants, verify subcontractor reports, and maintain thorough records to support inspections and handover processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineer (PEBoard recognised).
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant construction experience (Civil Engineering projects preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of allocated tasks and schedules.
• Prepare reports to clients and project manager on progress, delays, defects and rectification measures for the M&E works.
• Check and assess temporary works by contractors on site to ensure C&S, M&E and building works are safe and compliant with regulations.
• Ensure records of all mechanical and electrical engineering works, tests, defect rectification, inspections and progress are updated and kept to facilitate project completion, HOTO and inspections.
• Check that all mechanical and electrical works are executed in accordance with design, specifications and codes of practice.
• Make inspections of the works to ensure standards, performance and workmanship.
• Liaise with client/Consultant/Qualified Person to resolve technical/interface issues.
• Verify reports and claims submitted by subcontractors/vendors/specialists.

• Prepare reports to clients and project manager on progress, delays, defects and rectification measures for the M&E works
• To check and assess temporary works by the contractors on site to ensure that the C&S, M&E and building works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• To ensure that records of all mechanical and electrical engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated and properly kept, to facilitate the project completion, Rl, TOP and CSC inspections, and Handing Over and Taking Over (HOTO).
• Check and ensure that all mechanical and electrical works are executed in accordance with the design, specifications and codes of practice.
• To make inspections of the works performed and to be performed on site so as to ensure that the works are being executed according to the necessary standards, performance, quality and workmanship.
• Liaise and coordinate with client and/or the Consultant/ Qualified Person to resolve technical and/or interfacing issues with other Site Management Services and contractors.
• To verify reports and claims submitted by subcontractors / vendors/ suppliers and specialist contractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineer (due to Project requirement, qualification has to be PEBoard recognised)
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in construction industry for Civil Engineering projects is preferred
