Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking Project Engineers skilled in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to oversee interior fit-out projects. The role involves project planning and site execution, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and managing MEP installations. Candidates should have a degree in engineering, 3-7 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge in HVAC and electrical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in MEP construction.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power, ELV, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection systems.
  • Familiar with local codes and authority requirements such as BCA, PUB, SCDF and SP etc.

We are looking for Project Engineers who are highly skilled in M&E to manage our interior fit out projects. The job details entail:

Job Description
Project Planning & Coordination
  • Review shop drawings specifications, and contract documents for MEP scope.
  • Coordinate MEP activities with architectural, structural, and ID works.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and installation schedules.
  • Assist in procurement planning: materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Site Execution & Supervision
  • Supervise day-to-day MEP installation activities on site.
  • Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and technical specifications.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide corrective instructions to site supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor manpower allocation, equipment usage, and work progress.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure safety compliance.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
  • Prepare and submit technical documents: material approvals, RFI, MIR, WIR, T&C reports.
  • Ensure proper installation, testing & commissioning (T&C) of MEP systems.
  • Maintain updated as-built drawings and documentation.
Site Coordination
  • Attend on site technical meetings with consultants, clients, main contractors.
  • Ensure timely communication of site issues, design discrepancies, and progress updates.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
  • Participate in final inspections, snag rectification, and project handover processes.
  • Support preparation of O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and training for end-users.
