Job summary

L&K Engineering (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Singapore Branch is seeking a Civil/Structural site engineer to oversee daily construction activities at Woodland.

You will support the Project Manager and Senior Engineers, coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to ensure progress and quality on semiconductor/high-tech projects. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, a Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of site-based construction experience, preferably in semiconductor, cleanroom, data centre, or high-tech industrial projects.
• Experience in civil and structural construction works, site coordination, and progress monitoring.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, work sequences, and site execution requirements.
• Familiarity with Singapore regulations and site practices (BCA, SCDF, WSH).
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily civil and structural construction activities according to project schedules.
• Assist the Project Manager and Senior Engineers in planning, coordinating, and tracking site activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of construction works.
• Monitor site manpower, materials, and equipment availability to support construction progress.
• Identify and report site constraints, delays, and technical issues, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate civil and structural works with MEP, process, and cleanroom trades to minimise clashes and disruptions.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and work sequences.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Attend site coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding issues with subcontractors.
• Prepare and update daily progress reports, site records, and construction documentation.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and following up on material deliveries and subcontractor progress.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable BCA, SCDF, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Working Hours: 5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Willingness to commit to extended hours and night shift when required

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant site-based construction experience , preferably in semiconductor, cleanroom, data centre, or high-tech industrial projects.
• Experience in civil and structural construction works, site coordination, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to coordinate with subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, work sequences, and site execution requirements.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction regulations and site practices (BCA, SCDF, WSH).
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM knowledge would be an advantage.
• Able to work independently with guidance from senior team members in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with relevant site teams and subcontractors.
