Job summary

Rotary Engineering Private Limited is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects in automation and control systems. You will plan, schedule, predict, and manage technical tasks to ensure accuracy and optimal resource allocation from start to finish.

You will coordinate with multiple teams, maintain DCS and SIS hardware/software, and configure systems to achieve automation objectives while supervising contractors on capital projects.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree or equivalent (Pre-U/A level/College/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or similar).
• MS Office literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil and gas or related field (preferred).
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with supervision expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external teams and manage internal project teams.
• Maintain hardware and software for distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems.
• Configure distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems to meet automation objectives.
• Provide system management for DCS and SIS.
• Monitor and maintain performance of regulatory and advanced controls.
• Assist control engineers in development, implementation and maintenance of advanced control strategies.
• Support instrumentation and control activities on capital projects; supervise contractors.
• Contribute to reliability improvements by developing and maintaining maintenance programs for control systems.

Specialize in planning, scheduling, predicting, and managing technical tasks to ensure accuracy, proper resource allocation, and quality from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Coordination with external teams and internal team management

• Maintaining hardware and software for distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems

• Configuring distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems to achieve automation objectives

• Providing system management for distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems

• Monitoring and maintaining performance of regulatory and advanced controls

• Assisting control engineers in development, implementation, and maintenance of new advanced control strategies

• Assisting project group with instrumentation and control engineering activities on capital projects

• Assisting Reliability Improvement group in developing and maintaining an effective maintenance program for control systems

• Assisting with design, construction support/supervision and startup assistance for instrumentation and control systems on capital projects

• Supervising and coordinate contractors performing work on control and safety systems

• Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge in field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments

• Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Preferably experience in the field of Automation

• Other DCS or software programming experience

• PLC programming troubleshooting and Modifications

• VFD parameter selection and programming

• Field instrument installation and troubleshooting

• Electrical wiring with Relay logic and control wiring troubleshooting

Requirements

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant Pre-U/ A level/ College/ Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma/ Office Skill Certificate or equivalent

• Preferably computer literate in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience of in oil and gas industry or related field

• Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving skills backed by solid technical knowledge

• Preferably having the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

• Preferably able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
