Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Civil/Mechanical/Construction Management engineer for a 6‑month contract to lead the site office build and supervise extensions, coordinating with internal operations and external contractors.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, knowledge of building codes, and strong contract management. On-site work in Singapore with extension opportunities will be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Civil/Mechanical/Construction Management focus.
• At least 3 years of experience in project development or execution for site offices or commercial renovations.
• Familiarity with building codes, construction materials, and refinery-adjacent infrastructure standards.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and contractors on projects.
• 6 months contract with option for extension.

Responsibilities

• Construction Oversight: lead end-to-end construction for the new site office, ensuring designs are met.
• Extension Management: supervise extension projects for existing site works, maintaining refinery operations continuity.
• Stakeholder Coordination: act as technical contact between internal site teams and external vendors/contractors.
• Project Controls: monitor timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to avoid slippage.
• Quality & Safety: ensure renovation activities comply with HSSEQ standards and local regulations.
• Documentation: maintain accurate project records, permits, and progress reports.

Job description

• Construction Oversight: Lead and manage the end-to-end construction process for the new site office, ensuring all structural and interior works meet approved designs.
• Extension Management: Supervise and coordinate extension projects for existing site works, maintaining continuity with ongoing refinery operations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact between internal site stakeholders (Operations, HSSEQ, Maintenance) and external vendors/contractors.
• Project Controls: Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure deliverables are met without slippage.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure all renovation activities comply with Neste’s HSSEQ standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete project records, including technical specifications, permits, and progress reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specifically Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Management.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project development or execution roles, with a specific focus on site office setups or commercial renovation projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, construction materials, and refinery-adjacent infrastructure standards.
• Contract Management: Experience working with third-party vendors and contractors in a project-based environment.
• Candidate must be willing to work for 6 months contract with option for extension.
