Bosch Rexroth in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer specialized in Hydraulics to own end-to-end engineering projects from inquiry to commissioning. Qualifications

• Degree pursuing or completed in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and willingness to develop proficiency.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; willingness to travel for on-site activities.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering projects from order intake through final handover, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Design hydraulic and electro-hydraulic solutions leveraging Bosch Rexroth portfolio.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and documentation; ensure compliance with standards.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting to ensure system performance.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, sales and partners to define requirements and maintain relationships.

Job Description

As a Project Engineer specializing in Hydraulics, you'll take ownership of end-to-end engineering projects while developing expertise in hydraulic and electro-hydraulic system design. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the complete project lifecycle-from initial customer engagement through successful commissioning- while collaborating with cross-functional teams including customers, suppliers, sales, and technical partners. You'll gain hands-on experience in system design, technical problem-solving, and project delivery, positioning you for growth within a dynamic engineering environment.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

Project Lifecycle Management

• Own engineering projects from order intake through final handover, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation to maintain timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to meet business objectives.

Technical Design & Engineering

• Design and develop innovative hydraulic and electro-hydraulic solutions leveraging Bosch Rexroth product portfolio.
• Perform system sizing, component selection, and circuit design based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with customer specifications, relevant industry standards, and safety regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

• Liaise with customers, suppliers, sales teams, and project partners to define requirements, clarify specifications, and maintain strong working relationships.
• Provide technical support and customer training, including engineering reviews, technical presentations, and system commissioning guidance.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning activities, and troubleshooting to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering standardization activities to enhance processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, or related engineering discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, accumulators, and control systems (academic or hands-on experience welcome).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering design software; willingness to develop proficiency.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a passion for technical problem-solving.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for on-site visits for customer meetings, commissioning activities, or project support as required.
