Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a senior Project Leader to oversee data centre initiatives. You will define strategies, manage budgets and risks, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure alignment with client objectives.

You will interface with clients and senior management while driving quality, safety and delivery handover. The role requires 15+ years in data centre or mission-critical projects, with PMP/PRINCE2/PE credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or PE are advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Data Centre or mission-critical projects.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and complex deliveries.
• Strong planning, construction management, testing, commissioning and handover experience.

Job Description

Project Leadership

• Provide overall leadership and direction for Data Centre projects.
• Define project strategies, execution plans, governance structures, and delivery methodologies.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between project objectives and business requirements.

Project Planning & Delivery

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved according to contractual requirements.
• Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary interface with clients, senior management, and key stakeholders.
• Conduct executive-level project reviews and status reporting.
• Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors.

Commercial Management

• Manage project financial performance and budget control.
• Review contract administration, variations, claims, and procurement activities.
• Ensure commercial risks are properly assessed and mitigated.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance, quality control, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop project management and engineering teams.
• Promote a collaborative and high-performance project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Professional Qualification, or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PE, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 15years of relevant experiencein Data Centre, mission-critical facilities, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale Data Centre projects from inception through completion.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Strong experience in project planning, construction management, testing & commissioning, and project handover.
