Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a senior commissioning lead to drive data center project delivery. You will own the commissioning strategy and IST, coordinating with contractors, consultants and clients to ensure alignment with design and performance targets.

You bring 8–15+ years in mission-critical facilities and strong knowledge of commissioning processes, industry standards, and local codes, with experience in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 8-15+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities, MEP, or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes and industry standards.
• Experience with hyperscale data centres is highly valued.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and execution for data center projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and operations teams.
• Review commissioning plans, test procedures, and reports.
• Ensure systems meet design specifications, performance requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final client handover.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, quality, and safety compliance.

Job Description

• Lead the commissioning strategy and execution for data center projects.
• Manage commissioning activities for:
  • Electrical systems (MV/LV power, UPS, generators)
  • Mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling, chilled water)
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Fire protection and life safety systems
  • IT and telecommunications infrastructure
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and operations teams.
• Review commissioning plans, test procedures, and reports.
• Ensure systems meet design specifications, performance requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final client handover.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, quality, and safety compliance.
