• 5 years of experience after tertiary education in civil/structural construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consultants’ structural design progress against design and submission schedules.
• Review structural drawings for missing information, discrepancies, clashes, and constructability issues.
• Coordinate design matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Manage drawing coordination across civil, structural, architectural, and M&E disciplines.
• Maintain drawing registers and submission schedules for timely review, approval and issuance of construction drawings.
• Work with BIM modelers and drafters to prepare and review shop drawings with accurate dimensions and construction details.
• Provide clear technical instructions to BIM modelers and review drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify critical structural details, sections, and interfaces required for construction and technical resolution.
• Coordinate with construction team and subcontractors to prepare and submit material submissions, material specifications, method statements, and specialist sub-contractor shop drawings for approval.

Position: Project Coordinator (Civil & Structural)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator (Civil & Structural) to join our Technical Team for an LTA infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating structural designs, drawings, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, construction schedules, and relevant authority standards.

Job Description

• Monitor consultants’ structural design progress in accordance with agreed design and submission schedules.

• Review structural drawings to identify missing information, design discrepancies, potential clashes, and constructability issues.

• Coordinate design matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of technical issues.

• Manage drawing coordination among subcontractors and across various disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, and M&E.

• Maintain and monitor drawing registers and submission schedules to ensure timely review, approval, and issuance of construction drawings.

• Work closely with BIM modelers and drafters to prepare and review shop drawings, ensuring that all relevant dimensions, levels, details, and construction requirements are accurately incorporated.

• Provide clear technical instructions, sketches, and guidance to BIM modelers and drafters, and independently review drawings for technical accuracy and completeness.

• Identify critical structural details, sections, and interfaces required for construction and technical resolution.

• Coordinate with the construction team and subcontractors to prepare, review, and submit the following for approval:

  • Material submissions

  • Material specifications

  • Method statements

  • Specialist trade subcontractors’ shop drawings

• Proactively resolve technical queries and issues raised by the construction team, consultants, and subcontractors through effective coordination, communication, and documentation.

• Follow up on consultants’ comments and ensure that drawings and technical submissions are revised and resubmitted promptly.

• Ensure that structural design information and technical submissions are properly coordinated to support smooth site execution and minimise construction delays.
  

  Requirement:
  Minmum 5 years of experience after tertiary education in relevant field in the construction supervision of civil and structural works for project of similar scale, complexity and nature of work.
