About the Role
The Project & Operations Assistant Manager owns end-to-end delivery of KROHNE’s flowmeter and instrumentation projects from order handover through engineering coordination, procurement, logistics, installation/commissioning support, to final handover and closeout.
The role also oversees and managing day-to-day operational processes (order processing and delivery, inventory, factory and vendor coordination) ensuring on-time, on-budget, and technically compliant delivery across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for flowmeter/instrumentation project orders, including EPC, End User, System Integrator, etc) from kick off to delivery, commissioning and closeout.
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers, and internal stakeholders on project status, technical queries, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone billing plans; track progress against baseline and elevate risks proactively.
- Work closely with Sales on project handover, scope clarification, and order revision management
- Coordinate technical documentation (datasheets, GA drawings, calibration certificates) between factory, sales team and customer.
- Manage project cost budgets, cost tracking, and variance analysis; liaise with Finance on milestone invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Identify and manage project risks (technical, schedule, commercial) and drive mitigation plan.
- Oversee order-to-delivery operations: order entry accuracy, factory lead-time tracking, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and on-time delivery performance
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes in accordance with company procedures. Negotiate purchase orders, pricing, and contract terms to secure cost-effective, high-quality deliverables
- Coordinate after-sales service logistics and process such as calibration, repair, exchange units, with the Factory/service team.
- Maintain and improve SOPs for order processing, logistics, and project handover between sales and operations (PMO).
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs (on-time delivery, project margin, backlog aging)
- Supervise project coordinators/operations support staff; allocate workload in the department.
- Coordinate with the Factory on technical and delivery matters
- Support tender/bid preparation with delivery schedules, logistics costing, and execution plans, if required.
Competences
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process instrumentations products and typical process industry application ((oil & gas, water/wastewater, chemical, F&B) is preferred
- Independent and team player
- Solid grasp of logistics/freight/customs processes for industrial equipment’s imports/exports
- Strong stakeholder management — comfortable engaging customers, contractors, and factory engineers
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Experience in the process instrumentation and control industry are preferred.
- Project experience will be advantageous
- Familiar with ERPLN

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic/Electrical , Chemical or any Engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and/or operations within process instrumentation, flow measurement, industrial automation, or related capital equipment industries
- Experience managing EPC projects is highly preferred.
