Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Woodlands is seeking a hands-on Electrical/Mechatronics tester for a 6-month contract, with potential for permanent placement based on client needs. The role involves testing machines, components, sensors and safety features to ensure quality.

You will work rotating day and night shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM to 5:30 AM; overtime paid at 1.5x with shift allowance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Min NITEC or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting or machine operations experience preferred.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment per procedures and work instructions.
• Verify functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotic systems and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment-related issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment faults and retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update test reports and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment meets standards.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

Location: Woodlands

6 months Contract, contract-to-permanent and direct permanent opportunities may be available, subject to client requirements.

The initial three months will be on day shift, followed by three months on night shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Verify the functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotic systems and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment-related issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment faults and conducting retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update test reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment meets required standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures, workplace safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

Job Requirements

• Min NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in equipment testing, troubleshooting or machine operations will have an advantage.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Working Hours

• Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM
• Overtime may be required and is paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.
• Shift allowance and overtime allowance are provided, where applicable.

Salary

Up to $28000 (depending on experience)
