Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated tester to perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment. You will verify components, sensors and safety features, identify faults, and document test results.

Collaboration with engineering, production and quality teams is essential to meet standards and schedules. The role requires a min NITEC or related diploma, hands-on testing experience, and willingness to rotate day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Min NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in equipment testing, troubleshooting or machine operations is advantageous.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment according to procedures.
• Verify functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotic systems and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing faults and retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update reports and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Job description

Location: Woodlands

The initial three months will be on day shift, followed by three months on night shift.

6 months Contract, contract-to-permanent and direct permanent opportunities may be available, subject to client requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical and operational testing of machines and equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Verify the functionality of machine components, sensors, motors, robotic systems and safety features.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical and equipment-related issues during testing.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment faults and conducting retesting after corrective actions.
• Record test results, update test reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment meets required standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures, workplace safety guidelines and quality requirements.
• Support daily testing activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

Job Requirements

• Min NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in equipment testing, troubleshooting or machine operations will have an advantage.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts.

Working Hours

• Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM

Overtime may be required and is paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.

Shift allowance and overtime allowance are provided, where applicable.

Salary

Up to $28000 (depending on experience)
