Job summary

Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Production Technician 1 to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment for high‑quality medical devices at the SGP Tuas plant. You will ensure adherence to GMP, ISO standards, and safety norms while contributing to continuous improvement.

The role requires reading technical drawings, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a cleanroom with PPE. Rotating shifts including weekends/public holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably medical devices/pharma.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry/records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions; escalate as needed.
• Prepare and set up materials for production runs.
• Complete production and batch records; maintain documentation.

Job Summary

As a Production Technician 1 at Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd., you will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality medical devices, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality checks and inspections, documenting results accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
• Prepare and set up materials and components for production runs.
• Complete production records, batch records, and other relevant documentation diligently.
• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field (e.g., Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology).
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
