is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to maintain mission-critical banking applications in a 24x7 production environment, ensuring system availability and performance. You will troubleshoot issues across payments, transactions, authentication, and batch processing; perform incident management, log analysis, RCA, and coordinate releases, DR drills, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in banking/financial-services production or application support.
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical systems and high-severity incidents.
• Strong experience in UNIX/Linux and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M, Splunk, Geneos, enterprise monitoring tools.
• Experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management, RCA and SLA-driven support.

Responsibilities

• 24x7 application and production support for critical banking systems.

• Monitor applications, systems and batch jobs using Splunk, Geneos, Control-M and other tools.

• Work with application, infrastructure, database, network, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, incident documentation and operational reports.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement using Shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or similar technologies.

KeyResponsibilities

• 24x7 application and production support for critical banking systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to payments, transactions, authentication, cash management, cards and batch processing.
• Perform incident management, log analysis, SQL investigation, troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Monitor applications, systems and batch jobs using Splunk, Geneos, Control-M and other monitoring tools.
• Support UNIX/Linux, Windows Server and database environments.
• Coordinate production releases, changes, maintenance, Disaster Recovery (DR) and service restoration.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, database, network, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, incident documentation, and operational reports.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement using Shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or similar technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in banking/financial-services production or application support.
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical systems and high-severity incidents.
• Strong experience in UNIX/Linux and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of Control-M, Splunk, Geneos, enterprise monitoring tools.
• Experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management, RCA and SLA-driven support.
• Exposure to AS/400/Mainframe, batch processing, APIs, middleware, or file-transfer systems is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends/public holidays and on-call support when required
