Job summary

A strategic initiative in Precision Engineering is seeking a qualified individual to organize production activities and ensure quality assurance in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC production and the ability to interpret technical drawings. This role requires excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills, with a minimum educational requirement of an ITE-NTEC/Diploma/Degree in a relevant discipline.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ITE-NTEC/Diploma/Degree level PE/ME or related discipline.
  • 3-8 years in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and symbols.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate production activities.
  • Calculate machine cycle time and production schedule.
  • Analyze monthly machining and scrap reports.
  • Verify program issues to the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • To organize, co‑ordinate, check and ensure all production activities follow as plan.
  • Calculate machine cycle time and organize production schedule based on machine capacity and capabilities
  • Plan manpower resources and delegate machining job to machin
  • Verify program issue to workshop
  • Analyze and provide solution to solve problems between programmer and production dept.
  • Analyze monthly machining and scrap report
  • Good supervisory skill, people skill and 5 ‘S’ housekeeping
  • Good writing and communicating skill
  • Good in mechanical process, such as machining process, H/T, jig and fixture etc.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Min. ITE‑NTEC/Diploma/Degree level PE/ME or its related discipline.
  • Fresh Degree or 3-8 years in Quality Assurance in production/fabrication/welding environment or it relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Perform production programming, fabrication measuring tools/equipment.
  • Certified with welding certification by American Welding Society, Certification Welding Inspector, Certificate of CSWIP 31 or AWS‑CWI will be advantage or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of related experiences in production (CNC) in precision/engineering/welding capacity in production/fabrication structural manufacturing.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings and reading symbols.
  • Understand the quality principles, standards, internal business systems and processes.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and works well with all levels of staff and technically competent.
  • Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM, API).
  • Basic Knowledge and usage of Microsoft Office
  • Sound Technical knowledge on production, steel structural and steel fabrication procedures and welding inspection.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 Management system
  • Ability to read, understand mechanical drawing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance and possess good analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
