Job summary

Fong's Engineering & Manufacturing Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Production Supervisor to assist the Production Manager in day-to-day operations of the production lines, including night shift. You will plan and coordinate workflow to meet targets, draw up rosters, assign overtime, and arrange replacements as needed.

You will also troubleshoot issues, plan new projects and positions for lines or machinery, and guide subordinates while contributing to performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Production Manager in the operations of the production lines, including night shift.
• Plans and coordinates the work flow on the production lines to achieve production targets according to agreed schedules and quality standards.
• Draws up duty roster for operatives, allocating work, authorizing overtime and arranging replacements for absentees.
• Troubleshoots production problems which may arise and assisting the Production Manager in planning new project work such as positioning of new production lines or machinery.
• Trains, motivates and guides his subordinates, maintains discipline among the operatives, and provides input to their performance appraisals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
