Job summary

BIOTRONIK APM PTE. LTD. is seeking a Production Engineering Technician on a 1-year contract to support the Production Engineer in optimizing processes and reducing waste. You’ll help implement Lean, Six Sigma initiatives and ensure GMP/ISO alignment across manufacturing and quality teams.

Based at the Singapore site, the role emphasizes data-driven improvements, training of personnel, and rigorous adherence to SOPs, 5S, and safety standards to sustain reliable operation.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Engineering; minimum 3 years in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience in the medical device industry preferred; familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, Kanban.
• ISO 13485 and GMP familiarity; SAP and MES experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing manufacturing processes.
• Execute and sustain improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Collect and analyze data from manufacturing operations for continuous improvement.
• Support failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for manufacturing issues.
• Assist with second-level troubleshooting using process data.
• Train personnel on procedures and verify effectiveness.
• Contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality and cost.
• Maintain clean, safe workspaces following 5S.
• Support process and equipment validation per quality standards.
• Check critical components and consumables regularly.
• Ensure SOPs and quality systems are followed.
• Identify safety hazards and promote a safety culture.
• Collaborate on process changes with the Production Engineer.
• Maintain open communication with production personnel.
