Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is hiring a Production Planning Engineer to join the Manufacturing, Production Planning II team.

You will translate demand into actionable wafer fab plans and optimize loading, WIP, and capacity to ensure on-time delivery. You will monitor progress, report performance, and collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to improve delivery and efficiency while addressing bottlenecks and risks with concrete actions.

• Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales demand and customer requirements into wafer fab production plans.
• Develop scheduling rules to optimize loading, WIP, and capacity.
• Monitor progress and drive actions for on-time delivery.
• Track production indices and fab performance for decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and raise issues with recommended actions.
• Support improvement programs to enhance productivity and delivery.
• Chair off-shift production meetings to align priorities.
• Assist Manager in daily production planning operations.

We're searching for a Production Planning Engineer to be part of our Manufacturing, Production Planning II Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Translate sales demand and customer requirements into executable wafer fab production plans.
• Develop and apply effective scheduling rules to optimize equipment loading, WIP flow, and overall production capacity utilization.
• Monitor production progress and drive actions to support on-time delivery commitments.
• Track, update, and report production planning indices, fab performance indicators, and production status to support timely decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to improve delivery performance, production cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Proactively identify production issues, bottlenecks, and risk areas, and elevate key concerns to management with recommended actions.
• Support and execute improvement programs within manufacturing operations to enhance productivity, delivery, and operational effectiveness.
• Chair and coordinate off-shift production meetings to align priorities, review production status, and follow up on critical actions.
• Support the Manager in daily production planning operations and contribute to achieving department goals.

More about you

• Degree in Science or Engineering Proven leadership quality
• Preferably 1-3 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
