Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) in Singapore seeks a capable Manufacturing Planning Section Supervisor to coordinate and supervise MFG planning activities to meet daily and monthly goals.

You will establish production plans and set scheduling rules for optimum capacity utilization. You will lead a team, drive on-time delivery, participate in strategic planning initiatives, and mentor engineers to achieve continuous improvement across planning sections and production

Qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience in at least one of the areas in Thin Film, Diffusion, Etch, Lithography, Test and Production Planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise MFG planning activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals.

• Supervise and direct planning section efforts to meet production planning indices.

• Assist the Section Manager in planning-related issues and implement solutions.

What you will be working on

• Act as section coordinator to supervise and coordinate MFG planning activities to meet daily and monthly manufacturing goals.
• Establish production plans and strategies based on sales plan
• Supervise and direct planning section efforts to meet production planning indices
• Work with Production Control and Capacity Planning teams to meet company delivery goals
• Establish scheduling rules for optimum utilization of production capacity
• Responsible for on-time delivery
• Set targets, goals and projects to maintain high turn ratio and line linearity
• Manage production planning indices and production status
• Provide direction for operations departments to meet company delivery goals
• To drive production cycle time improvement
• Provide guidance and training to team to achieve maximum performance
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives
• Assists the Section Manager in all planning related issue and work with supporting departments in identifying solution and successful implementation.
• Lead, coordinate and execute improvement programs in manufacturing planning Section.
• Provide mentorship, training and guidance to fellow/new Manufacturing Engineers.
• Participate in quality, productivity and cost reduction improvement.
• Chair off-shift production meetings.
• Act and assume the responsibilities of Section Manager in his/her absence.

More about you

• 2-5 years relevant wafer fab manufacturing experience in at least one of the areas in Thin Film, Diffusion, Etch, Lithography, Test and Production Planning.
• Have supervised a team of at least 20 personnel.
• Well versed in every manufacturing aspect in current section plus some knowledge in 1 other section.
• Have independently or as part of a team; completed at least 1 CIT type improvement project in manufacturing operations.
• Proven leadership quality
