Job summary

LANXESS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a safety-conscious, reliable production operator to join our chemical operations team.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs, operating production machinery, maintaining 5S standards, recording data in SAP, and supporting cross-functional improvement efforts. Candidates should have a GCE O-Level or above and 3–5 years in the chemical industry, plus a valid forklift license for vehicles under 5 tons.

• Familiarity with chemical equipment, hazardous substance handling, and forklift license for vehicles under 5 tons.

Responsibilities

• Strictly follow production procedures, SOPs and supervisor instructions to perform tasks safely and timely.
• Support workplace safety by following HSE guidelines, risk assessments, audits and drills.
• Operate and maintain production machinery; perform preventive maintenance and monitor lubrication and filters; maintain 5S on the shop floor.
• Record operational data and checklists in SAP; manage raw materials and finished goods inventories; report deviations.
• Collaborate on productivity and waste-reduction programs to drive operational excellence.

We are seeking a safety-conscious, reliable, and team-oriented production operator to join our chemical operations team. The ideal candidate possesses strong safety and quality awareness, effective basic communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt to changing production demands while supporting cross-functional team initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Key Accountabilities:

• Your primary duty is to strictly adhere to production procedures, SOPs, and supervisor instructions to execute assigned tasks safely, timely, and without deviation.
• You will play an active role in workplace safety by complying with all HSE guidelines, participating in risk assessments and HSEQ audits, mitigating hazards, and promoting a safety-first culture including participating in company drills, training, and emergency response roles like ERT or First Aider.
• Daily operations involve operating and maintaining production machinery, executing preventive maintenance routines, monitoring lubrication levels and filters, and maintaining clean shopfloor standards via5S principles.
• You will accurately record operational data and check lists within SAP, manage raw material and finished goods inventories, and immediately report any equipment abnormalities, quality issues, or process deviations.
• Additionally, you will collaborate on productivity and waste-reduction programs to drive operational excellence across the shopfloor.

Requirements

• Candidates must be physically and mentally fit for duty, including the ability to manually lift and carry weights up to 25 kg.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a GCE'O' Level qualification or above, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the chemical industry.
• Familiarity with chemical equipment and hazardous substance handling, and a valid forklift driving license (for vehicles under 5tons).
