Job summary

Job Summary

If you are a Production or Manufacturing professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you in Singapore. As a Production Line Leader, you will support daily manufacturing operations, coordinate activities on the production line, and help ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. Working closely with team members and supervisors, you will contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement while delivering products that meet customer expectations.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform workstation tasks in accordance with documented procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and verify the quality of materials and finished assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Meet production cycle times and support the achievement of manufacturing schedules and delivery commitments.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and actively promote a culture of safety.
• Support and follow lean manufacturing activities and initiatives.
• Guide the team in executing lean initiatives like Kanban and FIFO (First In First Out) to meet process cycle time and production targets.
• Collect and compile production data to support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Identify, document, and communicate material, process, equipment, or quality issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Perform basic cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance activities on automation equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
• Verify the suitability of equipment, chemicals, and materials before use in production processes.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle count and inventory control activities.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of personal protective equipment. Not involve in any unsafe or negligent act that endanger peers or oneself.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and workplace well-being.
• Train and support team members to develop skills and maintain consistent work standards.
• Coordinate production activities within the assigned cell and participate in workplace organization and continuous improvement programs, including 5S activities.
• Assist supervisors with daily operational coordination and perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Secondary education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial environment.
• Ability to coordinate and support the activities of a production team while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate and document information in English for operational purposes.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and perform tasks across multiple workstations as business needs require.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and elevate production issues appropriately.
• Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Ability to perform work that may involve manual material handling in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to perform job duties that may require meeting role‑specific operational and workplace health standards, where legally permitted and job-related.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Experience supporting or operating automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Familiarity with quality inspection methods, measurement tools, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Experience participating in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support the development of team members.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
