The Production Engineer at INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE CONSULTING PTE. LTD.

will support and improve day-to-day production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent manufacturing processes at the Pioneer Road area in Singapore. This role focuses on optimizing manpower, materials, machinery and production methods to minimize downtime and waste while meeting quality, delivery, safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities to meet targets, schedules, quality and delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse and Quality for smooth flow.
• Track production schedules and flag delays or disruptions promptly.
• Optimize manpower, materials, machines and equipment to boost productivity.
• Identify and reduce waste, rework, downtime and inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Review processes and suggest improvements to methods and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Ensure production activities meet customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/OHSAS and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and ad-hoc production reports.
• Support SOPs and process documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel.
• Support maintenance and proper use of equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Liaise with customers or stakeholders on technical topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our Client, specializes in providing specialty chemicals to a diverse range of industrial and commercial customers.

They are looking to add new headcount to their production to support the business.

Work location - Pioneer Road area

5 day work week.

Job Summary

The Production Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving day-to-day production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent manufacturing processes. The role focuses on optimizing manpower, materials, machinery and production methods, minimizing downtime and waste, and ensuring that production output meets quality, delivery, safety and environmental requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities to ensure production targets, schedules, quality standards and delivery requirements are achieved. Experience with batch production highly preferred.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality and other relevant departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Monitor production schedules and promptly communicate any delays, deviations or potential disruptions to the relevant teams.
• Optimize the utilization of manpower, materials, machines and equipment to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement measures to reduce production waste, rejects, rework, machine downtime and process inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot production and process issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Review existing production processes and recommend improvements to methods, workflows, equipment utilization and operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost efficiency and production capacity.
• Ensure production activities meet customer requirements, including product quality and delivery expectations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/OHSAS requirements, company procedures and applicable quality, safety and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with Quality and other technical teams to resolve production-related quality issues and improve process consistency.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and ad-hoc production reports as required by management.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of production SOPs, work instructions and process documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes, equipment operation and improvement initiatives.
• Support the proper maintenance, safe operation and effective utilization of production machinery and equipment.
• Participate proactively in cross-functional projects and production improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with customers or relevant stakeholders on technical and production-related matters when required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
