Job summary

Luxoft in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering Group. You will blend application development with L2/L3 production support, delivering high-quality solutions in a production environment.

You will work with Java, Python, Shell, SQL, and Unix/Linux, contribute to CI/CD, monitor health with Grafana/ELK, and respond to incidents, bottlenecks, and outages while driving automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, combined with L2/L3 application support responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with working knowledge of Python and Shell (Bash) scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems and SQL.
• Good understanding of Grafana, ELK, MQ/Kafka, WebSocket, SFTP, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience supporting applications in production environments, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to balance development and support responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident working in an SRE/Production Support setup and comfortable participating in operational support activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Python, and related technologies.
• Provide L2/L3 application support and troubleshooting for production environments.
• Monitor and support application health using Grafana, ELK, and MQ/Kafka.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents, system issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to ensure application stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and support teams to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Utilize Unix/Linux environments extensively for application support, diagnostics, and automation.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell (Bash), or Java to improve operational efficiency.
