Job summary

VionData Partners is conducting a confidential search for a Product Owner to lead Producer Management (PMX) at the Singapore regional office. The role is hands-on, reports to the Program Manager and defines the product vision while guiding development to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate will own end-to-end Agile product management using AI-SDLC, support stakeholder engagement across Asia Pacific, and work with analysts, tech leads and architects to deliver value with effective governance.

Qualifications

• Insurance product knowledge and understanding of the general insurance model.
• Experience as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Previous working experience as a Product Owner.
• Exposure to underwriting, claims or broking systems is an advantage.
• Process-oriented with strong planning and attention to detail.

About the Opportunity

VionData Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading global insurance group. Our client is looking for an experienced Product Owner to be the dedicated point person for Producer Management (PMX) at their Singapore regional office.

This is a hands-on role, reporting to the Program Manager, responsible for defining the product vision, managing development, and optimising for customer needs. The successful candidate will represent business stakeholders and own end-to-end Agile product management using AI-SDLC, digital transformation, process modelling and solution design across Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

• Represent the business unit, using AI-enabled tools to help define, refine and prioritise product features that meet business and customer needs.
• Develop and communicate product OKRs, vision and roadmap, leveraging AI to shape clear, stakeholder-ready narratives.

Backlog & Requirements

• Partner with business teams to define, maintain and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring business processes, UI and UX are aligned with end-to-end workflows.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to capture requirements accurately, using AI to support drafting, synthesis and gap identification.
• Drive the clarity, review and approval of user stories for the product development team(s).

Delivery Collaboration

• Assist the product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Architects to craft enablers and arrive at the right solution.
• Review developed user stories to ensure they meet quality standards and stakeholder/end-user acceptance criteria.
• Provide on-site support and management of User Acceptance Testing.

Stakeholder Management

• Keep customers and stakeholders informed of product status.
• Escalate issues and risks to the Exec Sponsor and/or Program Manager as required.
• Comply with company reporting and audit requirements (local and international).

Preferred Experience

• Insurance product experience and knowledge of the general insurance business model, broker platforms and underwriting/claims operations.
• Experience as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Previous working experience as a Product Owner.
• Exposure to underwriting, claims or broking systems will be an advantage.
• Process-orientated, an organiser with strong planning ability and attention to detail.

• Experience and ease working with senior decision-makers and all levels of the organisation across functions.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies - SAFe PO/PM or CSPO certification preferred.
