Job summary

Thales Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive the delivery of large-scale ATM–related systems. You will act as the voice of the customer, translate needs into backlog items, and ensure alignment with regulatory obligations to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with architects and RTEs, lead backlog refinement, PI planning, and demos, while fostering built-in quality and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner in mission-critical or safety-critical systems.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) and/or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM); SAFe RTE a plus.
• Knowledge of ED-109/DO-278A and safety-critical software standards desirable.
• Possess learning agility, flexibility and pro-activity
• Comfortable with agile teamwork and user engagement
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Metrics-driven improvement mindset
• Systems and technical literacy
• Align agile delivery with aviation standards (ED-109/DO-278a).

Responsibilities

• Backlog breakdown and ensuring the consistencies of the agile artefacts (stories, tasks) and its coverage.
• Act as the main point of contact for the team on functional or technical topics to drive alignment.
• Bridge between agile teams, coordinating with the RTEs.
• Define Program Increments and participate in the PI Planning with Architects and RTEs.
• Manage and Prioritize the Team Backlog and support story creation with clear acceptance criteria.
• Work with users and customers to ensure backlog items deliver value and evolve the product via traceability matrices.
• Foster built-in quality and participate in demos and agile events to gather user feedback.
