We are looking for a Product Operations Specialist to support the reliability, operational readiness, and continuous improvement of digital products and systems.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business/Policy Teams, Helpdesk Teams, System Owners, and external partners to manage production issues, operational processes, product enhancements, and system dependencies.
This role is suitable for someone with experience in Product Operations, Technical Business Analysis, or Application/System Operations who enjoys investigating issues, working across technical and business teams, and improving how digital products are operated and supported.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of digital products, including enhancements, bug fixes, releases, and production incidents.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, business, helpdesk, and external teams to ensure operational readiness for new features and system launches.
- Triage and investigate production issues, assess user and business impact, and coordinate with technical teams for timely resolution.
- Analyse system logs, database records, APIs, backend processes, and data flows to support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Manage the production issue backlog, including issue logging, categorisation, impact/severity assessment, prioritisation, tracking, and escalation.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and operational reports covering production incidents, backlog status, helpdesk performance, risks, and other product metrics.
- Identify recurring issues, operational gaps, and trends, and work with relevant teams to drive process and product improvements.
- Prepare documentation for production fixes, data patches, risk acceptance, exceptions, and operational approvals.
- Establish effective feedback loops between users, helpdesk teams, product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Improve and maintain operational workflows, SOPs, escalation processes, issue playbooks, ticketing standards, and governance processes.
- Map and document user journeys, system dependencies, data flows, operational risks, and upstream/downstream integrations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product, system, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Product Operations, Technical Business Analysis, Application Operations, or a similar technology-focused role.
- Good understanding of backend systems, databases, APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL for data investigation and troubleshooting.
- Experience in production incident management, issue triaging, root cause investigation, and resolution tracking.
- Experience managing issue or operational backlogs using tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
- Ability to understand complex systems and translate them into clear process flows, user journeys, dependencies, risks, and action items.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across Product, Engineering, Operations, Business, and external teams.
- Strong ownership, documentation, organisation, and follow-through skills.
