Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Product Manager to lead Agile delivery for government-related software projects. You will manage a product built on Agile fundamentals, break down barriers for the team, and contribute to both high-level planning and detailed execution.

You will shape roadmaps, groom the backlog, and coordinate with Product Owner, engineers, UX designers, and analysts to deliver releases on time. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and products using the appropriate Agile project management methodology, learning and iterating frequently.
• Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing specifications and requirements.
• Brings new products to market by analysing proposed requirements and development.
• Develops time-integrated plans with marketing and production to market new products.
• Lead collaborative planning, prioritising work against team capacity and capability.
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Understand technical aspects and capabilities/limitations of systems.
• Share technical insights with internal or external audiences.
• Support the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the backlog.
• Define the roadmap and ensure user stories in JIRA/Confluence.
• Groom backlog, prioritise user stories, tasks and bugs for sprints.
• Coordinate with Product Owner, Technical Lead, BAs, UX designers, Engineers on release timelines.
• Track application bugs and assess impact/severity.
• Provide support to resolve impediments from daily standups.
• Bridge communications between business and technical teams, document where needed.
• Measure velocity, manage risks, and elevate important risks.
• Continuously gather feedback, analyse market trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist government processes such as procurement, project finance and related admin per policy.

What will you do?

We are a team that aims to design and develop software applications that help government agencies better serve the needs the community. We adopt an Agile development approach and work towards adopting tech best practices and cutting edge tools.

As Product Manager you will manage a Product built on Agile fundamentals and work towards adopting tech best practices and cutting edge tools. You’ll be adept at delivering the product, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the details to make things happen when needed. You will be core to decisions that build high performing teams, where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.

• Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
• Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements.
• Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development.
• Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with marketing and production.
• Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Understand the different technical aspects of the project including the capabilities and limitations of the systems.
• Communicate or share technical insights of a project to internal or external audiences.
• Support the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Define the roadmap and ensure user stories are created for product development in JIRA, Confluence etc.
• Groom the product backlog, prioritise user stories, technical tasks and bug fixes into the sprints.
• Work with the Product Owner, Technical Lead, Business Analysts, User Experience Designers, Engineers in planning the activities required and timeline for each release.
• Responsible for tracking the application bugs, assessing impact and severity of bugs.
• Follow up and support assistance where required for the team to resolve any impediments or issues they faced from their daily standup.
• Bridge communication between multiple teams (business and technical). This includes creating documentation or presentations when necessary.
• Measure project development velocity, perform and manage the project risks. Identify and elevate any important risk.
• Continuously gather user feedback, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for product improvements and new features.
• Assist in government processes, such as procurement, project finance and any other administrative needs in accordance to government policies and documentation requirements

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Communications or other related disciplines
• Eager to change and improve workflow and processes. Willing to assist team members. Strong ability in fostering teamwork and collaborations.
• Self-driven and motivated to learn and follow topics related to the projects
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to devise practical solutions to tackle work issues
• Solid understanding of end-to-end agile software development process (Scrum and Kanban).
• Understand the project from the business and technical point of view
• Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
• Experience with using, maintaining and customizing software development tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Jira
• Experience in ops-tech integration, AI/ ML creation and implementation, SAAS platform management, UI/UX design and research strategy, go-to market strategy for software services preferred
• Understanding of government to government working relationship and familiarity with public service policies
• Proven experience in defining and executing product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.
