We are seeking a Product Manager to help deliver scalable, API-driven financial technology solutions, collaborating closely with sales, product, stakeholders, and engineering to align customer needs with business priorities.

This role suits someone with several years of product management experience, who enjoys solving technical problems, working with distributed engineering

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Good understanding of APIs and messaging standards with ability to interpret API specs and support client integrations.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse customer problems and translate them into product requirements.
• Experience using data and customer feedback to support prioritisation decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and operational challenges.
• Participate in customer discussions, workshops and feedback sessions.
• Help ensure product priorities align with business objectives.
• Assist with product discovery by analysing customer problems and validating potential solutions.
• Own the delivery of product features from discovery through production.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise, maintain, and refine backlog for product features and ongoing projects.
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release planning.
• Support the delivery and evolution of client-facing APIs and platform capabilities.
• Work with engineering to improve API usability, documentation and developer experience.
• Assist with API lifecycle management including enhancements, bug fixes and maintenance.
• Monitor product performance and assist with incidents and production issues.
• Work with engineering to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Define and track product metrics such as API adoption, usage and platform performance.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, Operations and Business teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Support release planning and production readiness activities.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team and help deliver scalable, API-driven financial technology solutions.

Working closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Product, business stakeholders, and engineering teams, you will help shape product features from discovery through delivery while ensuring customer needs and business priorities are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with several years of product experience as a product manager or product owner who enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating with engineering teams and working in a fast-paced financial technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and operational challenges.
• Participate in customer discussions, workshops and feedback sessions.
• Help ensure product priorities align with business objectives.

Product Discovery

• Assist with product discovery by analysing customer problems and validating potential solutions.
• Work closely with engineers and business development during solution design.
• Support feature prioritisation using customer feedback and business value.

Product Delivery

• Own the delivery of product features from discovery through production.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise, maintain, and refine backlog for product features and ongoing projects
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release planning.

API & Platform Products

• Support the delivery and evolution of client-facing APIs and platform capabilities.

Job Requirements

• Approximately 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Taking ownership of product outcomes by balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
• Good understanding of APIs and messaging standards, with the ability to interpret API specifications, support client integrations, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse customer problems and translate them into product requirements.
• Experience using data and customer feedback to support prioritisation decisions.
• Experience managing product backlogs using Jira or similar tools.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with geographically distributed software engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and good planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

• Experience working with low-latency or high-availability trading systems.
• Understanding of FIX Protocol.
• Knowledge of FX (Foreign Exchange) trading.
• Exposure to equities trading platforms.
• Knowledge of digital asset / cryptocurrency trading.
• Understanding of trading platforms or market data systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools.
