Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Product Manager to lead trade product delivery within a multi-year transformation. You will partner with the project lead and coordinate across business, technology, operations and risk to drive prioritisation, governance and readiness.

The role requires 5+ years in trade finance/transaction banking with product management exposure and a collaborative, hybrid-working mindset in a global bank environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline; 5+ years’ experience in trade finance/transaction banking with exposure to product management and/or delivery/implementation.
• Strong knowledge of trade products and end-to-end trade processes, including operational, legal and compliance considerations.
• Transformation/change delivery experience (process and/or technology) is an advantage.
• Strategic and execution-focused; able to prioritize, manage dependencies and deliver outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Business, Technology, Operations and control functions.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-changing environment; collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade product delivery for a multi-year transformation initiative; translate programme outcomes into product scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Partner with project and operations leads to drive prioritization, sequencing and dependency management across workstreams.
• Coordinate across Business, Technology and Operations to define requirements and drive end-to-end delivery across customer journeys and controls.
• Drive early-phase mobilisation activities including current-state assessment, stakeholder workshops, KPI definition, and delivery readiness planning.
• Ensure implementation readiness by coordinating operating model impacts, procedures, training needs, service readiness and cutover planning.
• Work with risk, Legal and Compliance to ensure solutions are properly controlled and sign-offs obtained.
• Manage communications and stakeholder engagement across frontline teams; support BAU activities during ramp-up.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Manager to lead trade product delivery within a multi-year strategic transformation, partnering with the project lead and coordinating across business, technology, operations and risk to drive prioritisation, governance and implementation readiness - starting with discovery and delivery foundations, then moving into execution and change adoption to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, well controlled, and deliver agreed customer, efficiency and risk outcomes.

In this role you will:

• Lead trade product delivery for a multi-year strategic transformation initiative, translating programme outcomes into clear product scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Partner with the project lead and operations lead to drive prioritization, sequencing and dependency management across workstreams, ensuring progress against agreed plans.
• Coordinate across Business, Technology and Operations to define requirements, shape solutions and drive end-to-end delivery across customer journeys, processes, data and controls.
• Drive early-phase mobilisation activities including current-state assessment, stakeholder workshops, target outcomes/KPIs definition, and delivery approach/readiness planning.
• Ensure implementation readiness by coordinating operating model impacts, procedures, training needs, service readiness, cutover planning and post-cutover transition management.
• Work with risk stewards, such as Legal, Compliance and other control functions to ensure solutions are appropriately controlled, meet policy/regulatory expectations, and obtain required reviews and sign-offs.
• Manage communications and stakeholder engagement across frontline teams (Coverage/Trade Sales/Service), ensuring timely briefings and clear change impacts.
• Support BAU product management activities as required during programme ramp-up.

To be successful you will need:

• Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline;5+ years’ experienceintrade finance / transaction bankingwith exposure toproduct management and/or delivery/implementation.
• Strong knowledge of trade products and end-to-end trade processes, includingoperational, legal and complianceconsiderations.
