Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace division in Singapore seeks an engineer to support MRO production, test and troubleshooting of aircraft components. You will lead fault isolation, root cause analysis, and coordinate with OEMs on technical matters while contributing to process improvements and NPI initiatives.

The role requires a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree and 2 years of relevant aviation experience, with strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required or in progress.
• 2 years' relevant engineering experience in the Aviation industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support MRO production, testing and troubleshooting of aircraft components and systems.
• Lead in investigation, fault isolation and root cause analysis of defects.
• Collaborate with test equipment OEM to address failures promptly.
• Coordinate with OEM on technical matters as needed.
• Work on process improvement projects to drive efficiency.
• Support New Production Introduction initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance for testing equipment upkeep.
• Engage with stakeholders to meet Value Stream objectives.
• Comply with all export control regulations (US and Singapore).

Specific Role Responsibilities

• Support Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) production, testing and troubleshooting of aircraft components and systems.
• To lead in the investigation, fault isolation and root cause analysis of technical defects
• To work closely with test equipment OEM to address failures in a timely manner
• To work closely with the OEM on all technical matters
• To work on process improvement projects for better efficiency
• To support New Production Introduction
• To provide technical assistance to upkeep and maintain testing equipment
• To work with various stakeholders to meet Value Stream objectives
• Any other duties as required by business
• Comply with all US and Singapore Export Control Regulations

Requirement

• Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.
• 2 years' relevant engineering experience in the Aviation industry would be preferred. Candidates in progress of attaining their degrees are welcomed to apply as well.
• Possess good understanding of engineering drawings, schematics and documentations.
• Candidates with experience in test equipment troubleshooting and maintenance will have an added advantage
• Flexible and ability to adapt to multi-cultural and quick changing environment
• Ability to work independently and across multiple time zones, when requiredAbility to learn and work with new and diverse technologies
• Strong interpersonal skill
• Candidates with the knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will have an added advantage
• Able to multi-task with a "can-do" attitude.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
