Job summary

Aptiv Singapore is seeking a mechanical engineering specialist to assist in the design and analysis of thermal management systems for electronic and mechanical components. You will support cooling solution development using CFD/FEA tools and CAD software across multiple platforms.

The role involves CFD simulations for heat transfer, structural analysis, and GD&T-conformant drawings to ensure robustness of assemblies and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience with CFD and thermal analysis for heat dissipation.
• Familiarity with GD&T standards and drawings.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of thermal management systems for electronic and mechanical components.
• Support development of cooling solutions and heat dissipation strategies using computational tools and simulation software.
• Conduct CFD simulations to analyze fluid flow, heat transfer, and thermal performance of mechanical systems.
• Assist in performing structural analysis and finite element analysis to evaluate strength, stiffness, and durability of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Utilize CAD software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, and PTC Creo to create and modify mechanical designs.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to support fabrication and assembly of mechanical components.
• Assist in conducting FMEA studies to identify potential failure modes, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies for mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T standards and specifications in mechanical designs and drawings.
• Assist in interpreting GD&T requirements and applying them accurately to component designs.
