The company seeks a Failure Analysis Engineer/Senior Engineer in its Quality lab in Singapore to lead analyses of automotive electronics products and to drive improvements in FA techniques and lab capabilities.

The role requires advanced degrees in material science or related fields and significant FA experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Material science or Master/Bachelor in Electronics/Mechanical/Physics/Material Science.
• 5–7 years’ experience in semiconductor or automotive electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in application of Failure analysis tools/methodologies.
• Experience in handling Failure Analysis Lab.
• Good interpersonal, leadership, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform analyses of automotive electronics products.
• Develop strategies and implement adequate methods in the Lab for Failure Analyses and tear down.
• Standardize FA techniques to faster analysis.
• Lead FA technicians on Elemental & Metallurgical Analyses, Non-Destructive Analyses, Thermal Analyses, and Physical & Mechanical Analyses.
• Improve FA lab capabilities in 4M aspects.

Job Position: Failure Analysis Engineer / Senior Engineer

Department: Quality

Primary Job Purpose

Lead and perform Analyses of automotive electronics products. Develop strategies and implement adequate methods in the Lab for Failure Analyses and Tear down. Standardize FA techniques to faster analysis. Synergize FA activities by working with local and global teams as needed. Lead FA technicians on Elemental & Metallurgical Analyses (SEM< EDX, FTIR, Micro cross section etc.), Non-Destructive Analyses (CT Scan, SAM, Laser Confocal Microscope etc.), Thermal Analyses (DSE, TGA), Physical & Mechanical Analyses (Hardness, Texture, Contact Angle, CMM, Smart scope, Tensile tester etc.)

Improve FA lab capabilities in 4M aspects. Participate and demonstrate Failure Analysis capabilities to customers.

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. in Material science / Master or Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Mechanical/Physics/Material Science.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a semiconductor or automotive electronics manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience in application of Failure analysis tools / methodologies.
• Experience in handling Failure Analysis Lab.
