Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the global Card Issuing product strategy, shaping the architecture, APIs, and go-to-market across enterprise platforms and marketplaces. You will partner across functions to expand issuing coverage, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance metrics.

The role is based in Singapore with an in-office pattern, collaborating with engineering, design, legal, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, developer-friendly solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own Airwallex's global Card Issuing product strategy, solution design, technical roadmap and go-to-market execution across enterprise platforms, marketplaces and corporate spend use cases
• Lead the vision for a global card issuance platform spanning virtual and physical cards, digital wallet provisioning, spend controls, fraud prevention and real-time transaction processing connected to our multi-currency wallet
• Build developer-first APIs, webhooks and embedded SDKs or iframes that make card issuing simple to integrate, while balancing platform scalability, developer experience and commercial priorities
• Partner with card schemes, banking partners, BIN sponsors, card manufacturers, Engineering, Architecture, Design, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Commercial teams to expand global issuing coverage and navigate regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team of Product Managers, while acting as the company-wide subject matter expert on card issuing and embedded finance
• Own the product metrics that matter, including card transaction volume, interchange yield, API reliability and latency, activation rates and programme unit economics

How you'll make impact

You'll work from our Singapore office, with an in-office working pattern.

What we're looking for

Essentials

• 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management or Software Engineering, with demonstrated experience in card issuing, payment processing or embedded finance.




• Deep understanding of card issuing architecture, including Visa or Mastercard schemes, BIN sponsorship, card production and fulfilment, transaction authorisation, clearing and settlement, 3D Secure, tokenisation and PCI-DSS compliance.




• Proven experience building and scaling developer-facing products, including RESTful APIs, webhooks or SDKs, and partnering closely with Engineering on distributed, high-availability transaction systems.




• Strong commercial acumen, including experience modelling interchange or card economics, navigating global regulatory environments and partnering with enterprise commercial teams.




• Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex scheme mechanics into clear strategies for executive leaders and technical teams.




• A data-driven, first-principles approach to breaking down ambiguous business needs into executable product roadmaps.




• Experience leading teams and delivering high-impact launches in a fast-moving, multicultural and distributed environment.




• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

• Experience with programmatic card creation across virtual, single-use, multi-use and physical cards.




• Experience with real-time transaction processing, remote authorisation engines and dynamic spend controls.




• Experience with wallet integrations, Apple Pay, Google Pay, 3D Secure, digital card provisioning and PCI-DSS tokenisation or PAN delegation.




• Experience working with Visa, Mastercard, BIN sponsors, card manufacturers or banking and financial partners.




• Experience across enterprise platforms, marketplaces, online travel agencies, gig platforms or fintech use cases.
