Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a procurement specialist in Singapore to manage daily purchasing activities for indirect goods, services, and CAPEX. You will review PRs/POs, source suppliers, and negotiate terms while maintaining accurate procurement records in SAP.

You will collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies, monitor supplier performance, and support contract negotiations and process improvements within a compliant, controlled framework.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in purchasing, procurement or supplier management.
• Familiarity with end-to-end purchasing process, including PR-to-PO processing and supplier sourcing.
• Experience with SAP ERP; SAP Ariba knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities for indirect goods, services and CAPEX requirements.
• Review and process PRs and POs per procurement policies and approval procedures.
• Conduct supplier sourcing, competitive bidding and RFx exercises to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and follow up on order confirmations and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information and procurement data in SAP or other procurement systems.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve purchasing, invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier-related issues, including non-conformance, returns and delivery delays.
• Support contract administration, supplier negotiations and procurement process improvements.
• Promote the use of e-procurement platforms and approved purchasing channels to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls and documentation requirements.
