Job summary

HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing from requirements through contract award, ensuring governance and compliance across procurement activities.

You will collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology and Operations to manage supplier relationships, due diligence, negotiations and contract documentation, while monitoring performance and risk.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, contract management or supplier relationship management.
• Experience managing tenders, supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
• Experience using source-to-contract and procure-to-pay systems (Coupa or SAP Ariba).
• Understanding of procurement governance, contract management, supplier performance and third-party risk.
• Experience collaborating with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology and Operations.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing activities from requirements definition through to contract award.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluation criteria, bid analyses and approval papers.
• Guide business in supplier due diligence, onboarding, negotiations and contract documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, service levels, contract obligations and renewal dates.
• Support supplier risk management, operational resilience, business continuity and exit plans.
• Apply procurement policies, delegated authorities, approval standards and segregation-of-duties controls.
• Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready procurement and contract records.
• Escalate material supplier, control or delivery issues to Head of Procurement and support audits.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Procurement Specialist.

In this role you will:

• Manage sourcing activities from requirements definition through to contract award.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluation criteria, bid analyses and approval papers.

To be successful you will need:

• Understanding of procurement governance, contract management, supplier performance and third-party risk.
• Experience working with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology and Operations.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
