Job summary

HSBC Life in Singapore is seeking a Vice President, Technology Business Management to lead technology budgets, governance and portfolio performance. You will support investment cases and align with Finance and Procurement to drive cost-efficiency across technology portfolios.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in technology and financial management, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and delivering clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technology, business, finance, management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in technology management, business management, portfolio management, financial management or a comparable role.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in a complex, regulated or highly controlled organisation.
• Strong understanding of technology operating models, governance, budgets, risk management and delivery practices.
• Experience preparing executive reporting and turning complex information into practical recommendations.
• Demonstrable experience coordinating work across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology budgets, forecasts, expenditure, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support investment cases, prioritisation, benefits realisation and cost-efficiency opportunities in partnership with Finance and Procurement.
• Establish effective governance, reporting and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with risk, security, resilience, control and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee technology portfolios, programmes and operational performance through executive dashboards, constructive challenge and issue resolution.
• Support workforce planning, capacity management, organisational design, supplier performance, contracts and third-party risk management.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and communicate complex technology, financial and operational matters through clear briefings, presentations and committee materials.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Technology Business Management.

In this role you will:
