Job summary

The CAP Consulting Group Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Purchasing/Procurement Finance Partner based in Singapore. You will join the East Asia Procurement leadership team to drive strategy, targets and performance reviews, challenging supplier productivity and delivery through robust metrics.

You will interact with Global Supply Chain regions, business units, operations, and corporate functions to promote financial awareness, optimize cash and capex, and ensure strong internal controls across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT or equivalent is required
• At least 15 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner, with min 4 years as Procurement Finance Business Partner
• Procurement finance experience covering product/components cost competitiveness, product costing and profitability, raw material impact, cash and capex optimisation
• Manufacturing/plant procurement finance experience is useful but not a must
• Digital native with experience deploying digital automation for prescriptive/predictive analytics
• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate complex data for decision-making
• Proficient in English, both oral and written
• Strong stakeholder management skills and collaborative mindset
• Keen to support regional procurement leadership and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Animate Annual Procurement Operational Planning to support Y+1 productivity and base cost targets
• Challenge targets with Global Markets, BU Procurement and GSC Region Clusters
• Animate quarterly rolling forecast for productivity and base cost to identify gaps
• Drive SIM meetings to identify, fund and track actions to close gaps
• Own productivity pipeline tracking tools (iSave, Prism) for GSC International EA
• Own raw material inflation impact process and tool (RMI) for GSC International EA
• Leverage BVD portal to evaluate supplier financial health and drive mitigation actions
• Drive cash improvement actions with regional Cash champion
• Ensure internal controls with GSC International EA procurement and global controllers
• Manage transversal projects for Global Procurement Finance

At least 15 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner, including at least 4 years as a Procurement/Purchasing Finance Business Partner

Has relevant procurement finance business partnering experience covering product/components cost competitiveness, product costing and profitability, raw material impact, cash and capex optimisation etc

Added manufacturing/ plant procurement finance exp is useful but this is not a must

Our client is a renowned international MNC and a strong market leader in its field. Their office is based in Kallang.

For this Purchasing/Procurement Business Finance Partner, you will be a key member of the East Asia Procurement leadership team developing strategy, setting targets, and animating the cadence of performance reviews. He/She will challenge Supplier Productivity, Quality and Delivery performance through leverage of effective performance metrics.

Additionally, he/she will support and interact with key stakeholders in Global Supply Chain (GSU) Regions, BU's, Operations, and Corporate Functions and promote financial awareness among non-finance employees

What will you do?

• Animate Annual Procurement Operational Planning process ("APOP") ensuring it supports the direct material productivity and base cost targets for the Y+1.
• Challenge Global Markets, BU Procurement and GSC Region Clusters to set targets consistent with the requirements of the Procurement Region target.
• Animate quarterly rolling forecast process for productivity and base cost to enable identification of gaps to target.
• Drive productivity Short Interval Management ("SIM") meetings to identify, prioritize, fund and track actions to close gaps to target.
• Take ownership of the productivity pipeline tracking process and tools (iSave, Prism, etc) for GSC International EA, working with buyers and GSC Finance to ensure that productivity calculation rules are deployed effectively and consistently.
• Take ownership of the raw material inflation impact process and tool ("RMI") for the GSC International EA perimeter ensuring that inflation impacts are appropriately recorded
• Leverage the BVD portal to evaluate financial health of suppliers in the GSC International EA perimeter and work as part of the team which drives mitigation actions in cases of identified risk.
• Take ownership of the cash improvement actions together with the Cash champion of the Region
• Work with GSC International EA procurement, Category managers and global network of controllers to ensure all relevant Key Internal Controls are implemented and are operating effectively
• Manage transversal projects for Global Procurement Finance as required
