Job summary

The Lycra Company Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a proactive operator to coordinate daily plant operations ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production performance.

You will act as the main liaison between Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Production teams to align priorities and ensure smooth execution of work, while monitoring process performance and supporting timely troubleshooting and corrective actions. Emphasis on process safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma with background in chemical or mechanical.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, oil & gas, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in operational planning roles.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), permit-to-work systems, and management of change (MOC).
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and utilize data to aid operational decisions.
  • Demonstrates ability to pick up process related knowledge and skills to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and coordinate effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good team player, with strong self-initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production performance.

  • Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and support timely troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Plan and coordinate start-up, shutdown, process changes, maintenance activities, equipment isolation, and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Support process optimization, reliability improvement, quality control, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with operating procedures, process safety requirements, SHE standards, environmental regulations, and waste management requirements.
  • Maintain effective shift handover, operational communication, documentation, procedure review, and reporting.
  • Promote safety culture, participate in risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations.
